IDTA Nationwide Finals, featured in the Huddersfield Examiner! Additional write up by Millie and Courtney Spencer, Bodyrockerz pupils, aged 9 and 11.

On 12th and 13th November 2016, Bodyrockerz pupils who train at the Bodyrockerz Studios in Milnsbridge, competed for National Titles at the IDTA Nationwide Freestyle and Rock n Roll Finals at the Winter Gardens, Blackpool.

Talented pupils from Bodyrockerz School of Dance had qualified for their place at the Nationwide Qualifier in March and April 2016 at the IDTA N.E Area Regional qualifiers.  Teams had to win 1st place in their section regionally to qualify.  At the Nationwide Finals, Bodyrockerz pupils were up against the best teams, pairs, and soloists from all 8 regions of England and Wales.

Bodyrockerz pupils were well prepared for the Nationwide Final; having worked very hard, practicing, improving and perfecting their routines in the lead up to the competition and we are very proud of their effort and achievements. Each section of the Nationwide Finals had over 100 competitors from across the UK.

The following pupils/teams won Nationwide 1st place making them the 2016 Nationwide Champions!

“I love at IDTA competition how we get to show off our tricks, how everyone cheers for you and I love spending time in Blackpool with our friends.” Millie

“The Nationals is fun because the build up to it is exciting and we love supporting each other.  It was especially good to be sat with Harry cheering each other on and when I got to the final harry stayed and cheered me on all the way through my spot and gave me a big hug when I came off, he did so well getting to semi final!  I feel really happy to be a National winner, very proud and feel lots of hard work has paid off. I couldn’t have done it without Sophie believing in me and making me believe in myself because at the beginning I didn’t!” Courtney

“Many other Bodyrockerz pupils achieved Nationwide Semi-Final positions, and recalled, which is an amazing achievement considering the amount of competition.  We are really proud of all our pupils for their excellent attitudes and efforts.”
